I graduated magna cum laude from NYU with a B.A. in journalism in 2007. When I was an undergraduate, NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute did not offer any classes on digital journalism, so for my honors thesis, I created my own independent study program so I could teach myself Dreamweaver and the basics of creating a website.
Since entering the working world, I’ve watched the technology and media industries evolve, enjoying great initiatives that have resulted. I, too, have been evolving—from assistant editor/blogger to community editor/content manager to social media manager/digital strategist.
I’m excited to see and help shape what comes next, by pursuing an MBA in marketing at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, a part of the City University of New York, and by creating and sharing compelling content, useful tools and valuable information with the world as the social media manager for New York Road Runners, the organizers of the world’s largest race, the New York City Marathon.
